The son of Mexican immigrants and the first to graduate from high school and obtain higher education, he considers himself the "Latino Forest Gump": Meet Marty Castro, a respected leader in the field of community, civic, and philanthropic engagement.

In this podcast, he talks about what it’s like for a Mexican-American to visit the White House and meet with people from the Trump administration. He also shares his unique perspectives on leadership—and how photography inspires his style.

Marty currently serves as the President and CEO of Castro Synergies as well as interim president and CEO of Casa Central. He provides strategic consulting services to corporations, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations that seek to collaborate with and have a positive social impact on diverse communities.

He currently serves by appointment of President Barack Obama as the Chair of the United States Civil Rights Commission, a position he has held since 2011.

Marty is a member of the BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Network.
